One of the largest financial/banking institutions in the US had been using a competitive product for many years. As their environment grew however, they realized that they required a product that was a “centralized place for the MQ admin staff to quickly look at the ever expanding MQ world.”

The current solution had lacked the ability to: effectively audit, let the team know there were MQ issues, isolate those issues quickly, and allow “non MQ” people into their “MQ world”, to resolve those issues. Another major issue was a lack of LDAP authentication – it was a serious hole in their previous solution, as they were unable to take a user out of their directory structure, nor verify that access to the MQ utility was also revoked.

Aside from what is listed above, a critical requirement missing from their previous tool was an agentless architecture. They had not realized there was an agentless solution available for them, until they had spoken with Avada Software. Infrared360 was selected because it was fully agentless, it provided LDAP authentication capabilities, it could be leveraged by the development community, and delivered a self-service model across disparate teams.
